# Good chapter file names (lexicographic order = sidebar order)

# Optional intermediate insert without renumbering everything

Checklist

  • Folder name uses a numeric prefix (01-foundations)
  • Chapter file has a title: in frontmatter
  • Ran bash scripts/update-index.sh after structural edits
  • Previewed with quarto preview or ./indipub.sh <BookName> from books/

Put assets under images/ at the book root and reference them relatively:
