Core Principles

Looking back over our journey, three fundamental engineering principles define idiomatic Rust:

  1. Safety is an Asset, Not a Constraint: The borrow checker is an automated proof assistant ensuring thread and memory safety.
  2. Explicit over Implicit: Errors are values, allocations are intentional, and data flows are visible.
  3. Zero-Cost Abstractions: High-level expressiveness compiles down to optimal low-level machine instructions.
