Theory: Tools in a UNIX Pipeline, Not a Platform Product

SourceHut’s theory is that email, git, CI, and tickets can be separate programs with glue. The mailing list is a first-class review transport.

Invariants

  1. git send-email / patches are the review objects.
  2. Each sr.ht service is independently hostable.
  3. Hook scripts replace a marketplace.
