Theory: A Rollout Owns Stable and Canary ReplicaSets

The controller creates ReplicaSets labeled stable/canary, shifts weights or replica counts through steps, and consults AnalysisTemplates.

Invariants

1. Experiments are extra ReplicaSets for isolated tests.
2. AnalysisRun is an instance of an AnalysisTemplate.
3. Abort returns traffic/replicas to stable.

Rollout → RS stable  (old)
        → RS canary  (new)
        → AnalysisRun(s)

What can break

• Editing the underlying Deployment that Rollout is supposed to own.
