Theory: An Experiment is a Bounded Extra Version

Experiments run a template for a duration, optionally with analysis, without becoming stable. They are for A/B or soak tests beside the main canary.

Invariants

1. Failed experiments should not promote.
2. They consume cluster capacity (extra pods).
3. They are not a substitute for canary steps.

stable  +  canary (rollout)  +  experiment pods (temporary)

What can break

• Leaving experiments running (cost, drift).
